Since I have been having supervision with Dr Ashurst I have noticed just how much my practice has developed and grown with her knowledge of working with young people, which is without question inspirational. I could not have tackled such arduous family and young people’s work without the invaluable awareness and well thought through problem solving skills that she has provided to me. I have gained in confidence and expanded my knowledge base with her safe but gentle challenges to me about my rationale behind my interventions. Dr Ashurst brings to supervision, along with her patience and good humour, a professionalism that allows me to explore myself within the client work and a greater awareness of any safeguarding issues that need to be addressed.

I have worked with Libby for 5 years in our shared area of interest- young people presenting with sexually harmful behaviour. In that time I have seen her grow into the role and in more recent times start to develop new ideas and approaches around training staff to work in this complicated area. As this develops and becomes widely used across many different fields she will be recognised as a pioneer of contemporary thinking that will mirror the quality of her practice assessments and interventions.
